Rhonda Jo Holland

Rhonda Jo Holland, 71, of Spartanburg County, SC, peacefully went to be with our Lord on Monday, April 27, 2026, with her loving daughter, Paige, by her side. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Jo Ann Holland, and her close first cousins, Ricky, Randy, Mandy, and Kathy.

Born on November 21, 1954, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Roy Edwin Holland Sr. and Jo Ann Gregg Holland. Rhonda’s early years were spent with her sister Tracy. They shared many special memories, including listening to her favorite vinyl records—Carole King, The Beatles, and Three Dog Night—traveling together, and their shared love of chocolate milk, a simple joy she made sure was always part of their time together. She later spent many years serving others through her work at Spartanburg Regional, holding roles in switchboard, physician billing, and home health.

Rhonda was a devoted mother to her children, Donnie Ratliff and Benjamin Ratliff. Nothing brought her greater joy than being “Mama Rhonda” to her daughter, Paige. They were inseparable for 24 years, sharing special moments such as holding her in the hospital, sharing joyful moments from preschool through college graduation, and celebrating all the many things they built together in their lives. Rhonda was a loving and dedicated mother and grandmother who cherished time with her family and worked hard to provide for them.

She is survived by her daughter, Paige Ratliff; son Donald Ratliff (Stephanie) and his son Zane; son Benjamin Ratliff (Crystal) and their children, Brock and Caroline; her siblings, Roy “Eddie” Holland Jr. and Tracy Holland Calvert; and a host of nieces, friends, and her dog, Phoebe.

A service to celebrate Rhonda’s life will be held on May 8 at 3:00 pm, at The J.M. Dunbar Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 to 2:45 pm.

Rhonda loved yellow roses. The family asks if there are flowers brought to include her favorite flower.
