Richard Henry "Dick" Deal

Spartanburg, SC- Richard Henry “Dick” Deal, 67, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home after a hard battle with cancer.

Born September 4, 1954, Dick was the son of the late Henry and Margaret Foster Deal. He was a former member of Green Street and current member of First Baptist Church Spartanburg. Dick was retired from Norfolk Southern Railway and was the owner of R.H. Deal Asphalt Co.

He is survived by his son, Nicholas “Nick” Deal and his wife, Kristen; three granddaughters, Lyla, Savannah, and Ellie Deal; his six sisters, Dottie Greene, Marie Gwinn, Rachel Thompson, Jan Sanders, Linda Hicks (Bo), and Robbie Bishop (Frank); several nieces and nephews, who he loved and that loved him in return; and his wife, Barbara Deal.

Dick loved nothing more than working with his son, Nick, and spending time with his granddaughters. He really loved all of his sisters.

The family wishes to express a sincere thank you to the staff of Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home for the care they provided.

Graveside services will be held Friday, March 4^th, 10:00AM in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, officiated by Reverend Sal Barone.

The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
