Richard Glenn Moore

Richard Glenn Moore, 84, of Spartanburg, SC passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 31, 2025. Born in Anderson, SC on August 2, 1941, he was the son of Glenn A. and Katherine R. Moore. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 57 years, Maureen Moore.

A graduate of Spartanburg High School, Richard dedicated more than 50 years of service to Hoechst Fibers. He was a faithful Christian and long-time member of Southside Baptist Church. Richard found joy in the simple pleasures of life—tending to his yard, enjoying the outdoors, and spending time in the mountains. He will be remembered as a true gentleman, known for his kindness, generosity, and gentle spirit.

He is survived by his daughter, Katherine Hardcastle (Darrell), and his granddaughter, Savannah Hardcastle of Charleston.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-1:45 PM on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at J. M. Dunbar Funeral Home, 690 Southport Road, Roebuck, SC 29376. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Chapel, conducted by Rev. Schuyler Peterson.
