Richard Gerald Quinn Spartanburg – Gerald Quinn, 85, born in Glendale, SC to the late Will and Alice Quinn passed away surrounded by his family on Wednesday, May 18, 2022. He is survived by a brother, Kenneth Quinn of Roebuck, SC; and several special nieces and nephews. Gerald was predeceased by his brothers, Frank, Elmer; sisters, Margaret Quinn, Ella Mae Rothrock, and Maxine Teaster. He retired from the Navy Seabees as a Master Chief Petty Officer after 22 Years of service. Gerald served 16 months in Vietnam where he was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal. He also served in Barbados BWI, San Juan Puerto Rico, Rota Spain, Dego Garcia, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and 6 years at Camp David in Thurmont, MD where he received the Presidential Service Badge. The family would like to thank Restoration Senior Living and Wren Hospice for their kindness and outstanding care. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 10AM on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made the Alzheimer’s Association of Spartanburg; 901 S. Pine St., Spartanburg, SC 29302.
