Robert Marsham Bowling

Robert Marsham “Bob” Bowling of Inman, SC passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026 at the age of 85. He was born in Washington, DC on August 26, 1940 to the late James Morton Bowling, Jr. and the late Miriam Wrightson Bowling.

Bob served in the United States Army. He was then employed with AT&T, Southern Bell, and Bell South for many years while raising his children. After retirement, he ran the Hay Loft feed and seed store, traveled, and eventually settled in the Carolinas.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 5 ½ years, Nancy Alberta; children, Stephen Bowling of Chandler, AZ and Emily Bowling of Chula Vista, CA; and several nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his son, Donald Bowling, and his siblings, James Bowling, William Bowling, David Bowling, and Mary Ann Chandler.

Memorial Mass will be 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 in Jesus Our Risen Savior Catholic Church, 2575 Reidville Road, Spartanburg, SC 29301.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Knights of Columbus Council #9575 - Mary, Queen of Peace, 2575 Reidville Road, Spartanburg, SC 29301.
