Ronald Taylor Jones

Ronald Taylor Jones of Lyman, SC passed away on Friday, October 30, 2026 at the age of 82. He was born in Spartanburg, SC on May 29, 1944 to the late Peggy Elizabeth Taylor Lanford.

Ron was a graduate of Spartanburg High School, Class of 1962. Following graduation, he proudly enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served for 4 years and was stationed primarily in Italy.

After his military service, Ron worked with Fluor Daniel Enterprises, Inc., where he had the opportunity to live in many different parts of the country. He retired after 15 years of dedicated service.

Above all, Ron found faith in Jesus Christ, whom he accepted as his Lord and Savior.

Ron is survived by his brothers, Doug Jones (Beth) and Chip Lanford (Rhonda). He is also survived by Judi Dobbins, a special cousin and close friend. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Bettina Melanie Lanford.
