Sara Frances Loudermilk, age 92, went to be with her heavenly Father in heaven on Monday, March 1, 2021 at 2:30pm in her home at Spartanburg SC. Born in Anderson County on April, 18, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Wade Hampton and Frances Luzianna Getsinger. She was married 50 years to the late Rev. Floyd D Loudermilk. The pinnacle of their 50 years in Christian ministry was launching Anderson Mill Road Baptist Church (now Church at The Mill) in 1987 from their living room. Her entire life was focused on service to others. She never sought attention or accolades but was always content to be in the background humbly serving those around her. She loved her family intensely, and each of her grandchildren would readily tell you they were her favorite. She could outwork most anyone well into her eighties. She was lighthearted and unflappable. Her blue eyes were brightest when she laughed and her candor will provide stories for generations to come. Their Ministry included the following churches - Monte Vista Baptist, Welcome Baptist, Return Baptist, Mt Bethel Baptist, New Pleasant Baptist, Warrenville First Baptist, Grants Pass Oregon Home Mission Board, New Hope Baptist, Oak Grove Baptist, West Whitner Street Baptist, Five Forks Baptist, Holston Creek Baptist, Church At The Mill A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker, she is survived by daughter, Brenda L Blackwell; sons, Bobby (Ann) Loudermilk, Wade (Donna) Loudermilk of Spartanburg, SC, and David Loudermilk of Seneca, SC. Grandchildren - Carla Blackwell Pruitt, Christina Blackwell Randolph (Sam), Amanda Loudermilk, Paulette Loudermilk, Amy Hamrick (Greg), Blake Loudermilk (Mandy), McKenzie Loudermilk Blanton (Will), Merissa Ramantanin (Johnny), Chara Hosom (Sam), Lynn Godfrey (Kimberly). Great Grandchildren – Malorie Mobley, Brianna Meeks, Michael and Scarlett Randolph, Matthew Hamrick, Kelli Foster (Tyler), Eva Leigh and Ivy Loudermilk, Hampton and Eliza Blanton, Ian Spencer Ramintanin, Karis Ramintanin, Isaac Godfrey, Emmalyne Godfrey, Landon Hosom, Hayden Hosom, Cooper Hosom. Great Great Grandchildren – Reese and Landon Foster. In addition to her husband and parents, Sara was predeceased by a sister, Martha Alderman; brothers, Vernon and Jerry Getsinger; and a grandson, Andy Loudermilk. Deepest gratitude is extended by the family to all the wonderful caregivers from Amedysis Hospice during the last several years, especially Michelle Garett. Her guidance through our care taking process was immeasurable. The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:45PM on Thursday, March 4th, at Church at The Mill. Masks are required. Funeral services will follow at 3:00PM conducted by the Rev. Dr. D. J. Horton, the Rev. Gene Pace and the Rev. Robert Emory and Sherry Vaughn. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Blake Loudermilk, Greg Hamrick, Matthew Hamrick, Will Blanton, Curtis Tanner, and Benny Zimmerman. Honorary pallbearer is Frankie Smith. Honorary Escort will be members of the Heaven Bound Sunday School Class. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Church at The Mill, Building Fund, 4455 Anderson Mill Road, Moore, SC 29369. The family is at her home.
