Sarah Ann Crenshaw

Sarah Ann Crenshaw, 84, of Spartanburg, SC passed away Thursday, December 28, 2023. Born in Charleston, SC on May 24, 1939, she is the daughter of the late Rev Cellis Lester and Josephine Cottingham Woodard. Sarah graduated from Columbia College with a degree in Elementary Education. She taught first grade for 25 years in Spartanburg school district seven. She enjoyed her retirement years volunteering for Mobile Meals of Spartanburg, attending Lifelong Learning Classes at Furman University, reading, traveling, staying active and on the go. She leaves behind her children, Mark Crenshaw (Sharon) of Chapin, SC, Claire Holm of Bend, OR, and Christine Grant (Greg) of Summerville, SC; grandchildren, Greg Crenshaw of Mt Pleasant, SC, Ashley Grant of St Petersburg, FL, and Lauren Grant of Atlanta, GA. A Memorial service will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at St. James United Methodist Church, 213 N. Lanford Road, Spartanburg, SC 29301, conducted by Rev. Andrew Wolfe. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
