Shelby S. "Peggy" Thompson

Shelby S. “Peggy” Thompson Spartanburg - Shelby S. “Peggy” Thompson, 78, wife of the late Michael Henry Thompson, died Tuesday, February 02, 2021. Born October 10, 1942 in South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Jim and Lucile Solesbee. She was a graduate of James F. Byrnes High School and Limestone College. Peggy was well known for her time teaching home arts for District 6. Upon retiring she owned Carolina Traditions Bridal Store. Peggy is survived by her son, Michael Timothy Thompson (Leigh Ann); daughters, Stacey Thompson Cabaniss (Teddy), Angie Thompson Harkins (Tim); grandchildren, Lauren Carlson (Kyle), Hannah Morgan (Perry), Chase Cabaniss (Sara), Ian, Kathleen, and Ivy Thompson; great grandchildren, Presley and Jace Morgan, and Maylin Carlson. She is also survived by her brothers Tony and Donnie Solesbee. Private services will be held.
