Shirley Willis Robinson

Shirley Willis Robinson, 87, passed away in Spartanburg, SC, on Thursday, October 17, 2024. She was born in Pacolet Mills, SC, on November 7, 1936, to the late Mary Osborne and George Emmet Willis.

Shirley was happily married to James Leitner Robinson, Jr. for 31 years until his passing in 1995. Together they raised their two children in Pacolet, SC. She was a loving mother and grandmother, a dedicated homemaker, and a lifelong Baptist. Shirley loved listening to country music, taking trips to the mountains, and spending time with her family.

Shirley is survived by her daughters, Susan Robinson Raines (Ronald) of Pacolet, SC, and Mary Robinson Dickey (Chris) of Evans, GA; grandchildren, Savannah Turner, Preston Raines (Gracie), Holly Raines, James Dickey, and Robert Dickey; and great-grandchildren, Natalie, Beau, Eliana, and Scotlyn. Along with her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother, George Willis, Jr.

Graveside services will be held Monday, October 21, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the cemetery of Monticello United Methodist Church in Jenkinsville, SC. The service will be conducted by Rev. Dylan Styles.
