Shirley Burgess Wilkie

Shirley Burgess Wilkie Greenwood – Shirley Burgess Wilkie, 85, wife of the late Harold Wilkie, died Saturday, February 13, 2021. Shirley was born on July 31, 1935to the late Albert and Virgie Fowler Burgess. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Shirley was an avid gardener with a love for the outdoors and was of the Baptist faith. She was an excellent cook who loved to share food and her recipes. Shirley was a hobby sewist who loved to sew dolls and give them to those she loved. She is survived by a son, Russell Wilkie (Kathy) of Duncan; two daughters, Barbara Siders of Spartanburg, Susan Rollins (Phillip) of Greenwood; two brothers, Wayne Burgess (Mary) of Union, Donald Burgess of Jonesville; and a sister, Betty Wilson of Jonesville. Shirley was blessed with six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was also predeceased by a son, Kenneth Wilkie; brother, Albert Burgess, Jr.; and a sister, May Jo Owens Carter. A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
