Steve Lansing Glenn, a McIntosh County native of Baisden Bluff and Cedar Point, Georgia formerly of Spartanburg, SC passed away after a battle with ALS on December 3, 2025. He was 75 years old.
Steve graduated from Darien High School in 1968, attended the University of Georgia, spent 4 years in the Navy, then returned to UGA earning a degree in Sociology. He later earned a degree in communication disorders and speech sciences from the University of Colorado and a graduate degree from Gallaudet University in counseling for the deaf and hard of hearing, Steve spent 25 years at the SC School for the Deaf and Blind in Spartanburg. After retiring, he established his private practice as a psychotherapist and behavior analyst.
Steve eventually moved back to Georgia where he enjoyed family, friends and the Coastal lifestyle.
He was predeceased by his parents Gertrude "Pat" Mallard Glenn and Homer Franklin "Frank" Glenn, Jr., his sister-in-law Catherine Watson Glenn, and nephew, Luke Watson Glenn.
Survivors include his wife and best friend Ora Gail Phillips; children Zachary Milbourne Glenn (Julia), Steven Monroe Glenn and his partner Michelle Grau, and Savanna Elizabeth Glenn: grandchildren West Glenn, Valor Glenn, and Ella Glenn; brothers Paul, Frank, Sr. (Teri), Jeffery and his partner Lyla Hicks, and Bill; several nieces and nephews and his canine boating companion, Buddy.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
