Sylvia Laverne Jennings

Sylvia Laverne Jennings 89, entered into eternal rest Sunday morning April 5, 2026 after a brief illness.

Born in Spartanburg SC, she was the widow of Talmadge Jennings, and the daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson Lewis and Gladys Griffin Lewis. She was retired from Chartwells Dining services where she spent over 40 years working in the school cafeteria at E.P. Todd Elementary. 

Surviving are 2 Sons Jeff Jennings of Roebuck, SC, and Warren Richards (Kim) of Moore, SC, a daughter Teresa Bell of Inman, SC. Also surviving, a Granddaughter Kelli Foster (Tyler) of Spartanburg, SC. and one Grandson, Zach Richards (Michele) of Greenville, SC. And her beloved Great Grandchildren Reese and Landon Foster of Spartanburg. Sylvia was preceded in death by a Son, David Jennings of Spartanburg, and also a brother Tommy Lewis of Spartanburg. 

She was the sweetest and kindest Mom, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. Her family was her pride and joy. She will be missed dearly by her family, and everyone who knew and loved her. Per Sylvia’s wishes, no service will be held.
