Vicki Lynn Campbell Batten

On the morning of Wednesday, May 15, 2024, the Lord gained another angel and the world lost a beautiful soul in Vicki Campbell Batten. She was born in Spartanburg on April 26, 1957.

Vicki’s love for others stretched far and wide - from her close friends and acquaintances to her large extended family. Surviving family includes her partner of 24 years Tony Proctor, her daughter Tricia Batten, her grandson Callan Corbin, her mother Barbara Melton Campbell, sister Susan Campbell Baker (Frank), brother Paul (Rick) Campbell, nieces Lindsay Lewis (Kyle) and Chandler Harrington (Cole), and many cousins and other family members. Vicki was predeceased by her father Paul Glenn Campbell and Tricia’s father John Patrick (Pat) Batten.

Vicki worked for Spartanburg School District 7 for many years. This included work at Houston Elementary, the District Office, as well as Jesse Boyd Elementary. Vicki spent most of her life in her hometown of Spartanburg, SC. In recent years, Vicki and Tony have also made a home in Pompano Beach, Florida.

Vicki leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness and giving. She touched so many and her bubbly spirit will be missed by all who were blessed to know her.

Receiving of friends will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at 1:00-2:30 at Milestones Church followed by a celebration of life at 3:00 at Milestones Church, 885 Samuel Road, Spartanburg.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Relay for Life in honor of Vicki.
