Wade H. Dobbins

Spartanburg, SC- Wade Henry Dobbins, 78, husband of Joan Jackson Dobbins, died Monday, January 31, 2022.

Born March 17, 1943 in Bostic, NC, he was the son of the late Wade and Bertha Dobbins. Mr. Dobbins was a resident of Spartanburg, SC, where he owned and operated his own insurance agency. Wade was a member of Roebuck Baptist Church and was president of the Breakfast Optimist Club for 8 years. He was loved by many for his kindness and generous heart. Wade was lovingly nicknamed by his neighbors, “Do All Dobbins,” which was an accurate reflection of his nature.

Wade is survived by his son, Gary Dobbins and his wife, Pamela, of Drayton, SC; a daughter, Donna Ledford and her husband, Ricky, of Spartanburg, SC; stepson, Mark Jackson and his wife, Angie, of Cornelius, NC; eight grandchildren, Candace Gibson and husband, Jordan, of Spartanburg, SC, Autumn Dobbins of Covington, KY, Dustin Ledford and partner, Jacob Wylie, of Columbia, SC, Scott Dobbins of Spartanburg, SC, Austin Culbreth of Gaffney, SC, Casey Brown of Spartanburg, SC, Gina Jackson of Cornelius, NC, and Nick Culbreth of Drayton, SC; two great grandchildren, Peyton and Ramsey Gibson of Spartanburg, SC; and two sisters, Betty Hamrick of Ellenboro, NC and Sharon Connor and husband, Bobby, of Bostic, NC.

Wade was predeceased by his first wife, Sarah.

The family will receive friends Friday, February 4^th, 1:00-1:45PM at Roebuck Baptist Church.

Funeral services will follow at 2:00PM, officiated by Reverend Dr. Tim Williams.

The burial will be held in Concord Baptist Church Cemetery in Bostic, NC, 4:30PM, officiated by Reverend Travis Laflin.
