William Dixon Bailey, 28, son of Anne and Tim Bailey, passed away May 9, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Spartanburg, SC on April 13,1998.
Will was raised in Pauline, SC where he cultivated a great love of the outdoors. He was happiest in the woods or on the water. His fantastic sense of humor was contagious and could be heard from across the room. Will had a big heart and shared it with others, being selfless in that regard. He never met a stranger and had friends from all walks of life. Will adored his family and his beloved dog, Sally. He was a remarkable and fearless young man.
Will spent 10 years working with Construction Resource Group Inc. and participated in completing several of the largest highway infrastructure projects across the Southeast. He was a member of Glenn Springs Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his parents, Will is survived by his sister, Courtney, and her fiancé, Parker Byrd; his paternal grandmother, Gail Bailey; his aunts and uncles, Kelly and Bill Cheek and Tina and Tommy Wilson; and also his cousins, Bailey Coggins (Cole), Thomas Wilson (Anna), Anna Wallace Cheek, Elizabeth Cheek, and Thomas Cheek. Preceding him in death were his paternal grandfather, Horace Bailey, and maternal grandparents, Bill and Doris Cheek.
Will and his beautiful blue eyes will be greatly and deeply missed by his family.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at Glenn Springs Presbyterian Church, 6001 Highway 215, Glenn Springs, SC 29374. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
