William “Walker” Galloway, 76, of Woodruff, SC went to be with his Lord on Saturday, August 9, 2025. He was born in Spartanburg, SC on November 11, 1948 to the late Garner and Margaret Settle Galloway.
Walker graduated from James F. Byrnes High School and was a proud Rebel. He then enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he proudly served his country as an aircraft mechanic. Walker retired from the United States Postal Service after over 20 years of service as a postal clerk. He was a devoted Christian and member of First North.
He is survived by his wife, Jolene Bagwell Galloway; daughter, Kimberly B. Fix (John); grandson, Christopher M. Cole, Jr.; and sister, Elaine Farmer (Wayne). Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Jimmy Lowell Brown.
Visitation will be 12:00-12:45 pm on Friday, August 15, 2025 at J. M. Dunbar Funeral Home, 690 Southport Road, Roebuck, SC 29376. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm in the chapel, conducted by Rev. Dr. Mike Hamlet. Entombment in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Heritage Chapel Mausoleum will immediately follow, with military honors by American Legion Post 200.
