Debra Saunderson Nickles

Cowpens, SC- Debra Ann Saunderson Nickles, 65, died Monday, July 19, 2021 after a short illness with cancer. Born November 14, 1955 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Catherine Umbriaco Saunderson. Debra was previously employed with the Charles Lea Center and was with Spartanburg District 7, serving special needs, for the last 13 years. Debra is survived by her daughter, Dawn Nickles (Bobby); a son, Tony Nickles (Richard); grandchildren, Dillon Crain (Jennifer) and Jeremy Nickles; one great grandchild, Lucy Crain; a part-time daughter, Julie McDonnell; several furry children; and brothers, Robert Saunderson (Rose), Michael Saunderson (Cheryl) and Mark Saunderson. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Linda Cassett. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 27th, 6-8PM at Dunbar Funeral Home.
